Whether you're moving to open a treasure chest or to attack an enemy, you move characters one at a time, taking turns with enemies until none are left. Each of the dungeons is separated by rooms, and those rooms have grids laid out for them, so all of your movements are dictated by the squares on the grid.

For those who jump into RPGs for grand tales, this will be disappointing.Īt first glance, the game mechanics emulate those of strategy RPGs. The missions provide little to no context, and speaking with other people fails to provide any more story than necessary. Your heroes are also nameless and don't have bios to flesh out their background. The sorcerer has no name, and neither does his subordinates. Much harder to lose a cursor that is literally the exact opposite of what it’s on top of.Until you beat the game, that is the most exposition you'll get. I feel like a color inverse cursor with a fairly thick outline would make a highly visible cursor. But there are many things they could do to change the cursor and make it more visible. Like everything else they add to the UI, they could make cursor visibility an option so those who like it as it is can still enjoy it. I don’t actively pay attention to it but I think the mouse escapes into the nether when using certain camera functions and then reappears in the shadow realm when you go to try and use it for ground targetting. Can’t imagine how hard it would be if the mouse moved even faster. Given that I can shake my mouse left and right and still not see the cursor sometimes in the cluster of a WvW fight. Mouse sensitivity would only make the issue worse for many of us I think. Maybe if you’ve got excellent vision or something but many of us don’t. I found I kept much better track of my cursor when I turned them up, and setting it to your own preferences will help. Try some mouse sensitivity settings in the meantime. That said, new cursor choices and sizes couldn’t hurt. Keeping your cursor in check is sort of a skill you need to pick up. To be fair, a lot of this is just intrinsic issues with mouse and keyboard. Not saying they shouldn’t work on it because it is annoying but just trying to help with a solution I found that works for me. I then just set the buttons to keyboard keys I only use for gaming and I’ve been able to do everything in this game and in games like NWO which has just as many commands but also a mount to use (and it’s best to use mounts in that game as quickly as possible if mobs are around.)

I can say I’ve noticed no difference in the two they have great software and the Azio had programmable buttons as well. I’m right now using one made by Logitech G502 but I also have a backup or two by Azio and I started off using the Azio but I got some money for my birthday and got the Logitech. These mice are really nice they don’t take much maintenance and the software is good. ( I say inexpensive because I am poor and usually the games I play I play alot and end up going through them quickly. The absolute only thing that has helped me is getting inexpensive mice that have multiple buttons.

It would be nice if ground targeting highlighted all targets within the AoE at the time. The circle appears behind / under character models.Īlso in some places where there is a small amount of water over the ground, or if you’re high up on platforms that can be removed, you can’t see the circle either. Players and / or mobs can completely obscure the circle.ĭon’t believe me? Just log in a character with a ground targeted ability and activate it anywhere with players and / or mobs. That’s an assumption which more often than not fails in zergs. You DO get a giant green or red circle ON THE GROUND, assuming you can see it. You do NOT get a giant red or green indication of where your mouse is. So I’ve got 2 ground targeted aoes, one on kitten cooldown. I usually take my elementalist to zergs with a staff, attuned to fire. Question – did you test that before posting? I did before my earlier post to be certain. Yeah the moment you activate a ground target ability you basically get a giant red or green indication of where your mouse is.
